Upgrading the device OS
- For latest OS see bbforums (83xx series)
- Follow instructions on bbfaq
- If device is constantly rebooting after upgrade, try to reformat the sd media card

Backup addressbook
- Start obexpushd or similar (see Bluetooth) on your PC
- Enable Bluetooth on Blackberry
- Select your PC in the Bluetooth configuration and select menu entry "Transfer addressbook"
not all contact are transmitted (since usually obexpushd crashes)
