Requirements

  • Configured and running lastfmproxy
  • Webbrowser
  • Streamripper
  • Music player able to play streams (e.g. mplayer)

Rip

  • Start lastfmproxy 
/etc/init.d/lastfmproxy start

http://localhost:1881/lastfm://artist/Manu+Chao
  • Start streamripper in relay mode 
streamripper http://localhost:1881/lastfm.mp3 -r -d $DEST_DIR
  • Listen to the music while ripping 
mplayer http://localhost:8000
